Cervical Spine TB ( Tuberculosis ) Surgery

11 Sep 2022
Mrs. G.S 44 yr homemaker was seen in my practice 18 months ago. She presented to me in a non ambulatory state with quadriparesis due to C3 instability and epidural abscess caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis.

She underwent C3 Corpectomy , Decompression and Stabilisation with an expandable cage at the time. She had 18 mts of ATT Chemotherapy and was followed up at regular intervals.

Today, with a big smile she independently walked into my clinic and was so happy with the outcome. She is back to her normal life.

Moments like these make all the hard work so much worthwhile for both the treating team and patient. It really made our day !!
